As part of the Auburn Family, we strive to delight our customers and aim for their complete satisfaction with their experiences. If you are dissatisfied with your purchase, we want to help in any way we can. 

We are university-owned and operated. Your purchases help support both our store and campus because we return all revenue back to the university!

Return and Exchange Policy

Refunds and exchanges will be issued 30 days from the original receipt.

Products must be in new condition, unworn and unlaundered, and accompanied with original tags. Products will be refunded after the item has been received and reviewed for quality assurance. Size exchanges on clearance items are permitted; otherwise all clearance sales are final and non-refundable. Gift cards are not refundable.

All returns and exchanges must be accompanied with a receipt in order to receive a refund or credit. Refunds or credits will be issued according to the original payment method, or will be given in-store credit. The AU Bookstore may issue in-store credit for returns and exchanges without receipts.

The AU Bookstore reserves the right to refuse any return. Initial shipping charges will not be refunded.

We appreciate your understanding and adherence to these guidelines, designed to ensure a fair and efficient return process for all of our customers.

General Book and Merchandise Returns

A full refund will be given if merchandise is returned within 60 days of purchase. Merchandise must be in original condition with original packaging.

  • Unopened stock computers may be returned within 10 days of purchase.
  • No Returns of custom configurations or special orders of technology devices
  • No returns of opened box items.
  • Gift cards, prepaid cards and shipping charges are not refundable.

Textbook Returns

Returns are accepted on textbooks, rented books, and course materials within the first 10 class days with a receipt or through the end of the drop & add period if accompanied by a receipt and drop slip. Textbooks purchased after the 10th class day of a term may be returned for a refund or credit within two business days of the purchase with an original receipt.

  • Books must be returned in the condition they were purchased to receive a full refund or credit.
  • Digital Access codes are not refundable once opened or accessed.
